The Dress

Some have asked about the dress.  Here it is....I have blanked out the face as I did not get permission to post this picture.  I'm pretty sure I'm safe since she's posted her own stuff on Yahoo 360 etc.  Nevertheless..........

This picture has been doctored quite a lot...it is from one of the rejects.  The water/sky has been colored and even the sand has been brushed.  The bride was also given liposuction and the color was brightened up.    I did not perform the surgery my Roomie did before I got home.  Bad quality photo to begin with. 

Hope for the best for me today as I take the replacement photos.

Lawdy, Lawdy! & Prayers please.

        

I get to work today and open up my email and lo and behold there are 2 - TWO - from cindilouwho.  One asking if I had seen the first email.  The first one was a photo gallery of pictures of her in her gown taken on the beach.

The caption read basically HELP me ---she hated the pictures and wondered if I could help touch them up.  I picked out some that were OK, but the resolution on them was too small -- can't be fixed well enough to blow up like she wants.

So several emails back and forth rendered us getting together tomorrow, Tuesday, to re-do the shots.

                

I suggested taking them in front of her home with her in front of the pond/gazebo.  The greenery would give her skin a great color tone esp since the gown is Ivory.

She really wants some on the beach......OK....

Whatever!  I'll take some at both places probably.

I asked who took them and said I hope she didn't pay for them LOL because they were b-a-a-a-a-a-d!  Grainy, fuzzy, outta focus...lighting outta wack, didn't use a UV filter ....

........oooops, was I sounding catty?

                

So now I'm good enough to take more pictures for her.  If I'd done them to begin with we wouldn't be doing them OVER.  (Patting myself on my own back, please and thank you!)

There I go again ROFLMAO!!!!

         

Tomorrow my StepDad is having a heart catherization.  Seems the doc missed something last time when they put in the stents.  Um, DUH!  Hello!!  Read the FULL report please.  He doesn't need another bi-pass surgery.

Lazy & Pageant news

On this beautiful Sunday in NC I am nothing more than lazy. 

Still no word from Cindilouwho.  The rehearsal is on for Friday then the big event Saturday and it's OVER!!!

                       

After last night's pageant I was megga tired.  I applied makeup and curled hairs, gagged on hairspray and changed costumes.  One of the girls we dance with was 1st runner up......our other dancer (that I was working with) did not place.  This was her first pageant and you could tell she was quite nervous, although she did WOW them with her talent.

Miss T went with me for support.  She actually let me do her hair in a French Twist before going.  I stuck in some pearled flowers too......just for fun.

                                     

Mr Man had decided to run down to the restaurant to get his pay and see his friend "J"....then was home and fixed himself dinner.  Only he wasn't home when we came in at 10pm.  I called, left a voice mail.  At 12:50am he came in, saw me on the couch and said "OH"........"oh?" I said.

He had decided to go BACK to the restaurant, then to "J's" house.  Claims "but I wasn't drinking".....funny odor emitting from his breath, hmmmmm, smells like, walks like, must BE drinking.

I hate to be lied to.

Today he missed going to the sports bar to watch his GIANTS because of last night.  I wouldn't drive him and he WON'T drive there again! 

Plus....I counted the $$$$ in his jar that he's saving from the j-o-b....there's only $160 in it.  Roomie said that's all that was in it last week.

So that means the $50 check he just cashed from a side job AND the $$$$ he picked up last night he spent ....... not that I care, but why lie about it????

That I'll never understand.

                                              

On to better things...................

Miss T and I made homemade biscuit dough for Pigs in a Blanket for Tom's football food then we watched "Are We Done Yet".   It was cute but not as cute as the first show "Are We There Yet" (as usual).  There were some funny moments but, come on....who buys a house on impulse like that?  And what town has ONE man that is in charge of EVERYTHING???

Then she and I went out alone to one of our favorite restaurants and shared Chicken Milanese with a salad.  My friend, the local sheriff and former school mate, and his family came in too and sat by us.  The waitress picked up our bills at the same time and I thought "watch her switch the tickets when she brings them back" and sure enough, she had!  I looked at mine and looked up and said "C....give me back my card" to which held it up over his shoulder and then he replied "but I liked your total better".

The waitress was apologetic but of course there was no harm done.

                                 

Bossman is away for a 4 day cruise, left last Thursday.....I'll never understand that.  He and wifey don't get along, yet they take these vacations together, ALONE, each year at this same time.  Anywho, he'll be back late Monday so coworker and I will have all day to clean out our boardroom before he comes in.  Then it's back to the daily grind. 

I so want to get my desk and office cleaned up of its packrat status.  Maybe if we jump in early I'll have some time for that in the afternoon...............maybe.

Oh....look what I snapped a shot of at my Mom's on Saturday!  Isn't this cute???  Nope that's not Mom's pier...it's her neighbors.  Those houses in the back are on Topsail Island.

 

Train Wreck???

 The Kitchen Bitch
 
A mother was working in the kitchen listening to her 5  year-old son playing with his new electric train in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son saying,  "All of you sons of  bitches who want off, get the hell off now... because this is the last stop! And all of you sons of bitches, who are getting on, get your asses on the train...because we're going down the tracks.

The horrified mother went in and told her son, "We don't use that kind of language in this house.   Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train...but I want you to use nice language." 

Two hours later, the boy came out of the bedroom and resumed playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard ! her son say... "All passengers please remember your things, thank you and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us  again soon." She heard her little darling
continue..."For those of you just boarding, remember, there is no smoking in the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and  relaxing journey with us today."

As the mother began to smile, the child added, "For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the bitch in the kitchen...."

        

How many times have we all wanted to say this????

My Mom's favorite thing to do for punishment to me was make me sit in a chair and face the wall for X amount of time.  She'd come by and catch me reading a comic book, which would of course increase the amount of time I had to pay my pennance.

I have been known to put Miss T's nose in a corner and make her stand there for about 5 minutes.......and if she moved I added 1 minute..........does this ever accomplish anything???

Guess they just learn to becareful not to get caught the next time.....I know I did!

Cold Reception

                         

......that is what I received last night when I delivered Cindilouwho's slip to her mother's home....the whole family was there.  They were meeting to go over details for the wedding weekend.

                         

I was not greeted by the normal friend I am used to....the one with the smile and sparklely eyes.  It was "has anyone told you the schedule for next weekend?"....I said NO.  So I was matter-of-factly informed of a prompt 5:30 be ready for Friday's rehearsal and 11:am sharp Saturday begins hair!

                                  

I did send an email explaination to her....no reply.  The next day she emailed me that she needed her slip back so she could wear it due to her other one just not fitting properly.  I emailed back that I would get it to her Mom's since she "didn't have time to come by" my house for it.  Also mentioned taking her pics in her gown and the pics of her and boyfriend the day after the wedding.  No answer to that one.  Guess I was just brushed off.

Whatever!    Man, when she holds a grudge.........

Anywho.

If she wants to stress over this instead of understanding my need for ME time, so be it.  She's hurting herself.  Yes, it is upsetting to me, but...........I'll survive.  I will be Miss Merry Sunshine next Friday and Saturday all while I am helping set things up (no one does anything) and I will proudly and happily stand up with her to marry this old flame.  Tom and I will be the perfectly happy couple and put all of it in their faces.  Miss T will be the best little Jr Bridesmaid she's ever seen.

                                  

Had it been me in her position, I would have said "I understand and I'm sorry you won't be joining us, we will miss you" and NOT let it ruin my day or my mood or God forbid my 2 weeks before getting married.  Don't sweat the small stuff.  It's not like the tent fell down during the ceremony for crying out loud.

Her loss.

  So here I sit on what is my FRIDAY.........I am loving having my Friday's off again.  Hopefully I can finish cleaning out the spare bedroom and get it a wee bit organized.

This Saturday I am hair/makeup Mom for a friends little girl's pageant.  YES, I'm nervous over the hair only....the makeup is a snap.  My hope is that there is plenty of time in between talent and gown to get the "do" that the Mom wants.  Mom's aren't allowed backstage in this pageant so I guess I was next best thing!  I feel honored! 

Yesterday I made a reservation in Charlotte for the end of this month to go to Carowinds, a theme park.  The park will be decorated for halloween.  I have asked a friend of Miss T's to go along with us.....the parents are talking it over.  It would be nice if she could go.

Worried, Sad and Happy too??

I don't know where to begin.

Our dear Penny (Penny`s Pieces of Ohio ) is gone from this world and rejoicing with God.  She will be missed by many in J-land.

           

Then there's my situation with Cindilouwho.  I know that right now this wedding is ALL she can concentrate on.....I know she wants it just perfect.

I wrote an email appology/explaination to her about my decision to leave town abruptly last Saturday.  Haven't heard anything from that.

We were going to take her picture on the beach in her wedding dress.....I need to email her and tell her that I am available this Thursday or Sunday if she wants.  Trouble is, it is calling for possible t-storms Thursday and Sunday is looking the best.  That is subject to change as we all know.  Her wedding is Oct 13th so we don't have much time left IF she wants this picture before hand.

Otherwise she wanted her and beau to dress up the day after the wedding in their "suits" and have shots made at the beach.  Sounds like I've become the unofficial official portrait taker.  LOL.  Me.......imagine that.  The one that "disappointed" her.  Problem with the day after the wedding is that is Tom's birthday.

Oh well.

Miss T.........now there's a good subject.

Came home with her interim progress report.  Guess what.....ALL A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Even a 97 in Math!!  Last year's worst subject.

Way to  GO!  

AND................she even TAPPED last night in that "dreaded" tap class....no tears!!  She looked like she was getting it and having fun.  Her friend "K" helped her a lot.....even "S" offered to help her on an off day.  I told her to give it a month and she'd see that it wasn't as bad as she was thinking.

Plus, helping out in that Thursday class has really boosted her spirit and confidence.

There may be a Ginger Rogers replacement after all!

Roomie has become smitten with a certain local gentleman.  Today should be their 3rd date.........you know what they say about the 3rd date. 

I won't wait up for her ROFLMAO!!!!

Today is my baby brother's BIRTHDAY!  Da Big 26!!!!  He's a cutie........single, available, has a good job, responsible, hint, hint.

Yesterday was my cousin's birthday, 38, still lives at home with her daddy.....she's available too.  That's about all I can say.
