Humps on Hump Day

Happy Hump Day out there......

I was thinking this morning how many actual HUMPS have come into my life lately.  Tom's DUI ticket in March for instance.  His normal attorney that he uses for these things said he "cannot represent him" on this.  Woa!  Now this was a blow to Tom...he's always been able to rely on this guy.  Oh well, I told him to call my friend, the one that shot him in court Monday!  $2,500 later he's hired.

Then there is Tara's panic attacks that we are dealing with, not to mention she's got the snotz this week.  Her counselor suggested a psychiatric specialist that we met with today.  All he did was a lot of history intake and charge me a whopping $170....and of course they are "out of network" and will not even attempt to work with us on getting IN network, gee thanks.  (Tom's insurance is through the NYPD - wooopie)  And we'll be back for more this Friday!

During Tom's arrest in March, the cops kept his truck registration and of course they didn't know anything about it on Monday when he was in court.  So....Tom heads to the DMV for a copy....WRONG!  They say that the tags are expired!  HUH???  The sticker says 12/06, did I miss Christmas???  They have no record of that (~) and tell Tom he has to pay the taxes ($93) and then come back with the receipt and THEN they will renew.  Sounds like we're going around in circles.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd....the copier at work has been broke since Friday morning - just when I need to copy a mound of truss diagrams.  The boss'es daughter has to be picked up from school and taken home; the Mexican's had their rally on Monday; and the inspections department cannot figure out a submittal for a revision to a revision.  That's why I work at Dramaville, Inc!

But........

On a lighter note, yesterday afternoon Tara & I played a little game.

Can you guess what it was???    Here birdie!  She's a girlie girl and I'm the tomboy, so I had to bite my tongue as she swang!  After school she called to tell me "guess what we did today" -----they picked and sucked on Honeysuckle.....now I hate to admit, but I have never done this until yesterday.  She showed me how to pick it off at the base, pull off the little green thing and "see the string?" pull it out and there is the bubble.  Tom was shocked that I, a good Suthern gal, had never done this, even his old yankee self had in his day.

I love Spring!  I hate June bugs and mosquitos.    This is my first rose bud of the year all in it's glory.  The March winds kept flipping our patio table and umbrella around so much till the brella finally broke all to pieces.  It had been mended last year with, of course, duct tape.

So when I got home Tuesday we had a brandy new umbrella!  Guess what color (here's the hint!).   Yay Tom!

Well, at least in the midst of all the drama, you took some time to smell the roses and have some fun.  That's what keeps us going, I believe.  The rose is beautiful.  Mid June for Pa. roses...grrrrr   HUGS  Chris
