TGIF to me!

Today is my Friday....at work at least.

StepDad is having a procedure this afternoon to determine what to do about his heart and the discomfort he experiences.  They are thinking defibulator or pacemaker.  Geeesh, hasn't he had enough of surgery?  He's feeling down lately, says they've just sent him home to die.  Since he is limited in what he can do physically anymore, he doesn't feel "worth" anything.  Poor pitiful me syndrome.

Mom keeps reassuring him that he still has a lot to offer.  He has wisdom and knowledge to share.  He can also ENJOY life instead of working himself to death.  But that's not what he's used to....he is normally a busy man, always has a project going.  Feeding his animals or mowing the fields or cleaning up the yard, doesn't matter, he just wants to be busy.

I did a stuppie thing this morning.  I was tossing the last bite of a granola bar out my window and rolled the window up on my finger     ---   again!   Geeeesh.

Not too bad though....just one of those moments when you say Stoooooooooooopie!

I'm sill coughing like a mad person......it comes in spells.  When I do alot of moving around I get in a coughing fit.  Cough...pee...poot!  I'm a hoot!

We're off this weekend to another dance competition.  It's about a 3.5 hour drive up and Miss T's solo dance is at 7pm.  That means I have to pick her up at from her field trip in town on Friday at 1:30pm and head on up.  Grab a meal on the way up; check in and get to the auditorium and get ready.

She has 3 group dances on Saturday and we have to be back around 9:30am to get ready for those.  Luckily awards are at 4pm and we're DONE dancing.

Dinner and pool time!  We're staying at a different hotel than was suggested (the suggested one didn't have a pool).  I imagine I'll have several kids begging to come over to swim.

I wanted to go to the Hurricane's game   on Sunday on the way home.  But I'm coughing so much that I may not enjoy it.  They're on a great winning streak and are #1 in their division.  I know Miss T would LOVE to go.

Hmmmmmm should I?????

Hubby reminded me that it's St Patty's weekend so don't forget to pack the green!

Sharon,
Your a riot! My daughter has been getting over being sick and saw your comment to me about cough, pee, poot and said "Mom, that is exactly what has been happening to me" lmao. Gotta love winter time! I sure do hope that cough gets better soon. Good luck to Ms. T this weekend dancing!! Have a great weekend.

I feel so bad for your step dad.  It's tough for men of that generation to do nothing.  My dad is retired but went back to work part time cause he couldn't stand being at home doing nothing.  Enjoy your weekend and I wish Miss T good luck!

I'll keep your stepdad in my prayers.  Many men feel that way when they have heart problems and can't do the things they used to.  LOL...are ya drinkin any green beer?  HUGS  Chris

You silly girl, rolling your figger in the window.  I wanna go to the dance comps.  pleeezzz??

I've had a pacemaker for aobut 11-12 yrs now.  In fact this is my second one.  The surgery is quite simple.  Only problem is having to avoid Magnetic scanners at the Airport and Judicaial Buildings and No MRI's.  No worries though.

hugs, Bethe

Those dance competitions sound fun but draining.  3.5 hours in the car!  Whew.  But the pool sounds great about now.

It's hard when our loved ones are feeling old & ill.  I know when we went and saw my dad he was having trouble walking distances,  It sucks to get old.  enjoy your weekend.  rose
