Mrs Grinch

Boy oh boy have I been in a mood today!!!

Grouchy.....at work...at home.

I need a happiness pill.

It seemed EVERYTHING irritated me.

From the boss nickle n diming a subcontractor to just a simple question asked me by Miss T.

The funny of the day was when Bossman was leaving he said "Sharon do you have anything you'd like to show me?"

I couldn't resist.

I smiled and he said "what?" and I said "I was just thinking of mooning you, but I'm not so sure that's what you wanted to see!"

Busy - Attempt #2

Was almost done when.......BLINK went the power!!

So as I was attempting to say, I've been busy.

Thursday was of course cooking, cleaning and eating at Mom's.

Friday, Mr Man got up a 4am to get me a MP3 player that was on megga sale, but he wasn't fast enough.

Later in the morning I had TnT put together the tree.  Then Mr Man said "Let's go to the Mall!!"  At 3pm we headed out, just to "watch" people.  That's always funny.

Once home I put on the lights - no one else is allowed that job.  I have at least 1000 lights on the tree.  I also have some special ornaments that only I can place. This of course aggravates the family.  Miss T finished the ornaments.

On Saturday I was messing around in the house thinking I'd put up decorations and maybe lights, but Tom was quite aimless - lost acting.  He announced he was bored and wanted to drive somewhere.  Miss T suggested Raleigh.  At 3pm we hopped in the family truckster and took off for our state captial.

We stopped for dinner.....Tom's steak was first burnt, then the 2nd one was rare....finally the 3rd attempt was perfect.  Got that one free.  After dinner we headed over to the Crabtree Valley Mall just because.  Macy's was having a sale (of course) so Miss T picked up some ballerina ornaments for herself.

All in all we were home by 10:30pm.

Sunday was going to be MY day.

NOT.

Roomie had dyed her hair a bad red.  She wanted me to help fix it back to blonde or at least a strawberry blonde.  So I whipped up the bleach.  Called my Nanny to see if she wanted hi-lites since I was mixing.

No....she wanted to go shopping!!!  And when I said I didn't want to go, she of course rolled her eyes at me.  Which meant "guilt trip" and "poor pittiful her"...........yeah right.

So here I go again at 3pm (what is it about 3pm??) heading into town so she can find a certain string of lights for a small tree.  She only has SEVEN trees in her house.  No luck on the lights.

Mr Man had headed down to the sports bar to watch his GIANTS lose.  He had a bit too much to drink and called me to come get him!

WOW!  That's a first.  I was proud and pissed at the same time.

Once home, he was wobbly.....I sent him straight to bed.  He got up, bounced around, went back to bed; got up again and CRASH.

He fell into my nightstand --- OUCH!!  It's just a little table, but nonetheless it broke 2 legs.  I said YOU BROKE MY TABLE and he said WHAT TABLE.  I smacked him across the butt with the leg and said THIS ONE!!

Monday morning I noticed a HUGE bruise in his lower back at the kidney level.....and a slice.  I don't know what he hit to cause that.  Maybe the bed frame.......

For once, I was glad for Monday to come around so that I could get some peace-----at work!!

Happy Birthday Miss T!!

It is hard to believe that 11 years ago my awesome daughter came into this world.

It has been a joy watching her grow and learn.  It is amazing to see the changes in her....even now, we can see that she is turning into a little lady......with attitude, just like her Mom!

I am so THANKFUL that she is in my life.  She has truly been a Godsend to me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!

Today she is going to see a FOOT DOCTOR.  About 6 weeks ago, she got a splinter in her foot, probably from dancing.  We got it out....or at least we assume we got all of it.  But it has remained a spot of contention with her.  So Mr Man is picking her up and taking her to the doctor.  I will meet them there.

What a great birthday present huh?

Well, what she doesn't know is that tonight there are a couple of girls from dance coming home with us to spend the night.  They're all out of school on Wednesday for the holiday.  Wish I was!

I have ordered a cookie for them.....gotta have an "official" birthday dessert.

PS  (My thankful from Monday was that the bossman finally made a decision on the date of our company Christmas party!!  Early this year!  WTG boss!!)

Talking Turkey

Things You Can Only Say On Thanksgiving

1. Talk about a huge breast!
2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
3. It's Cool Whip time!
4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!
5. That's one terrific spread!
6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
7. Are you ready for seconds yet?
8. Its a little dry, do you still want to eat it?
9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some!
10. Don't play with your meat.
11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in.
12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once!
14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
15. How long will it take after you stick it in?
16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!
18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen!

Weekend Thankfuls

Updating.....

Friday was cold......hear me?  Windy and cold.  Thursday started off at 72 with a high of 67???? and quickly turned to 45.....Friday was just a tad warmer.  One day I'm in shorts, the next in sweats.....wtf??

I also CLEANED house....CLEAN I tell ya.  YAY!! Ran around picking up cake and pizza's .... I cheated....picked up 5 Sam's Take N Bake $7.99 each.  At 5:45pm they started pouring in and by 7 I had 8, screaming 10-11 year olds, one science teacher and one student intern math teacher, roomie, hubby, me, my nephew & his parents, and my mom all gathering for the birthday bash.

You should have seen the 2 yr old nephew trying to hula hoop.  He'd hold it just right, toss it and sit down.....classic!!

We filled the cooler with ice and soda's to keep the kids outta the fridge.  I cooked chili and baked brownies, and Tom baked the pizza's.  Singing Happy Birthday and tearing open presents of "Webkinz".  That's all she wants is "Webkinz".  Miss T also racked up a bit of cha-ching!

What has happened to kids manners these days?  When I was sleeping over, I was always afraid to disturb my friend's parents, much less have them ASK me to behave.

Many, many MANY times, they were asked to keep it to a low roar.  One kid just would not even comprehend it.

I am THANKFUL that that night is over.

On Saturday morning they were up bright and early and by 8am I was baking Cinnabon coffee cake.  Then they were outside to jump on the trampoline most of the morning.  THANK GOD they were outside.  I could hardly wait till NOON when the parents would retrieve these rug rats.  It turned out to be a grand day....high of about 67.  No wind.

My stepDad was given the A-OK to drive last week, so he was at the farm and I called for him to come get hot coffee and the coffee cake.

As you can imagine I spent the rest of the day vegged out!  Lazy.  THANKFUL for a quiet home.

Today?  Sunday.  I wanted to shop.  Ever get that itch to just shop?  I can't do any shopping for Miss T's Christmas until after her birthday.  Guess that'll have to wait till Wednesday.  I'm "birthday party poor".

But instead I hung around home.....laundry.....Tom made a gravy and then left me to make the meatballs.  I'm not as good at them as he is.

E.T. was on tonight and Miss T had never seen it so we watched it.  She has had the snotz all week and weekend and I was afraid she wouldn't be able to have her party.  She and I just lazed around in the late afternoon since she was feeling so beat up....lack of sleep and fighting her cold.

Speaking of weather (earlier in entry) it is 10:45pm and 68 degrees.  I feel a sweat about to break out.  And I hear it's to be 75 on Turkey Day.

All in all I'm thankful that the party is over and that otherwise I've had a nice, quiet weekend.  This is the first time in 4 years that I've been able to have my weekends off.....no Nutcracker practice because there's no Nutcracker this year.

I don't know how I managed for 4 years, every weekend from September through T-giving weekend...no time for US or myself.

But I wouldn't trade those performances and practices for anything.  I am very thankful to have had that experience.  Miss T and I made some new great friends.  I expect that my stage hubby will call me this week....... man, he's a hottie!!  Here we are in 2004.

Maybe I can make it to the Floatilla this year at the beach to see all the boats decorated and watch fireworks.  I have lived here all my life and never been.

I love fireworks!

Have a great week everyone!  I hope y'all have awesome plans for Thursday.

No more screaming during sex!

from a WebMD article:

Oct. 19, 2007 -- The FDA is alerting men taking the erectile dysfunction drugs Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra of the potential risk of sudden hearing loss.

The FDA has received 29 reports of men who had sudden hearing loss while taking Cialis, Levitra, or Viagra.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

It was 72 this morning at 11am....it's 4:15pm and 45!!!!

Friggin Bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

14 & 15 of Thanks

Wednesday (14th) I had my dermatologist appointment for this mad itch I've had since September 2nd.

Remember I've had 2 rounds of prednizone from my family doc.  The Derm said that with my history of allergies and my dry skin that STRESS has caused this "atopic dermatitis" - excess inflamation in the skin.  It is common with people who have a family history of allergies or asthma.

Stress huh?  Who ME???  ROFL

1) hubby
2) home
3) cindilouwho's wedding
4) stepDad's health
5) j.o.b.

So I've been given a super duper strong topical steriod cream to apply 2x a day along with Allegra to take in the A.M. as well as benedryl if needed.  This is all in addition to the Zyrtec (allergy med) that I take at night.

Stay away from perfumes and use fragrance free lotion and NO hot showers for now.

Doc says "let's slam dunk this problem and get histamine blockers in your body like gang busters".

I am THANKFUL that I kept the dermatologist appointment and that this is NOT something severe.

Now with that out of the way we are finally getting some much needed RAIN today.  Only it's in drizzles.  It would be nice if it would pour tonight and be clear Friday and Saturday for Miss T's birthday sha-bang (her big day is next Tues 20th).

But today I am THANKFUL for this RAIN.  Our water tables are low even out in the country where I am.  The city where I work and it's surrounding 'burbs are on water restrictions.  Well water use is ok, but still they warn against over use.

Coworker and I have finished the office Christmas cards, stuffed and stamped.  We'll just wait till next Tues/Wed to drop them in the mailbox.  We've also been going through her "job" as it seems bossman is still not going to hire a replacement just yet.

He asked me yesterday if I thought I'd be "OK" and I said yes, until it gets busy, then that's another story.  He hasn't mentioned yet a pay increase.

If I'm taking on a "second" job don't you think my salary should "double"??  (not holding my breath)  Coworker said she told him he had better pay me good after she leaves.  Hey, I'd settle for her salary ($1,100/wk)  ROFL.

Wonder what hours he'd be expecting me to put in now???  As it is, I'm on short time due to the permit restrictions and the slow down of building.

He'd better not tell me he can't afford it.........he'd find himself missing 2 employees!!!

thanks to my awesome tag sharing friends Missie & Shelly

Thankful 13

Happy Birthday to Nanny!!!

Today our Matriarch is 85 and doesn't look a day older than 60.  Everywhere we go people think she is my Mother!

Does that make ME look older than I am??????      Nahhh, she has taken good care of herself in her 85 years.  I hope and pray to be in as good health, mental and physical.

I am very thankful for my Nanny.  Without her and my Papa, I would have been lost.

Thankful 11 & 12

As Sunday and Monday were the official VETERAN'S DAY's I salute each and every soldier this great USA has ever had.

From day one when the first settlers came over.....to this very day, the people in this great country we call America have been fighting for the rights of freedom.

My father-in-law is an Army Vet of the Koren Conflict; my hubby is an Air Force Vet from Vietnam.  My step-Dad pulled his Navy tour with the Cuban Crisis.  My bigger little brother is an Air Force Vet of the first Desert War (stateside).

Both of my Grandfather's had heath related issues that kept them from WWII, but nonetheless, stateside they were fighting, keeping the family safe and fed.

Each day with each voice and vote, we are all soldiers.

To those who gave all and those still with us

I SALUTE and thank YOU!

Miss T the Math Queen

I forgot............bad momma!

Last week was report cards and Miss T came home with an A+ in Math.

MATH!

Last year's WORST subject for her.

On Friday they had awards and come to find out, she was the only kid in her homeroom (of 24) to get 100% on math this semester.

WAY TO GO MY BABY!!!!

Thankful 10th

DRUGS..........that is what I'm thankful for today.

Today I've been hyped up on coffee and sundrop and sudafed -- the REAL sudafed, not that wanna be mess they're selling these days.

We bought Miss T the trampoline for her birthday gift.  I told her it was also part of Christmas.  Found a 13' with surround at Wally's for $194.  Tom, bless his heart, tried his best to get the springs put on the canvas...but........city boy, ya know....pulled one of the springs out about 12 inches.  No fixing that!

I noticed my bigger little brother was down in the back of the field and I gave him a call to come help.  With Tom's bad knees, he can't get up and down well.....bro got it going and in no time the canvas was stretched.

I tried to help too, but the tension was tough and with my neck and back troubles  I can't pull too hard.  But I was the first one to JUMP - and almost peed my pants.  Actually I DID have to change my pants!!

Rule #1 :  Pee before jumping on the trampoline.

Needless to say, I will be popping pain pills to ward off any achy muscles.  I will probably turn on my heating pad too.

Sorry about the shortess of yesterday's entry....it was late and Roomie and I were talking, so I just typed and hit save.

In addition to going to the concert yesterday, my Nanny had called me at 9:30am to see if I would go shopping with her.......she actually bribed me saying "I'll buy you something".

HELLO!??

Actually it was a nice outing with her.  She wanted to go to Kohl's and she used her credit card and received an extra 15% off.  So naturally I let her charge my stuff too!!!

Her 85th birthday is this coming Tuesday.  85!!

She would SHOOT me if she knew I was posting this pic of her.  As you can tell it is 2 years old....not much has changed in her appearance.  This was not an easy task talking her into going in this pool with us.....much less wearing that tankini.

ROFLMAO.

Other than helping with the trampoline a bit, I've spent most of this day in our "big room"....the room that TnT live in most of the time...him watching TV and her playing behind him.  It is a room at the end of our home that is about 12-14 ft wide and 28 ft deep.  He gets one half, she gets the other UNTIL CHRISTMAS....that's where the tree goes and her stuff has to be moved.

It was HER stuff I was rearranging.  She wants to have a sleepover party for her birthday next Friday.  Tom is going to bag up the drums and sell them....he can't (or won't) play them.  So I said sell em...makes no difference to me.

Then I moved on to wrapping gifts......Christmas gifts.  Gotta get them outta the way so I can clean up my "blue" bedroom...which is actually my junk room.

Sigh...........what a job that will be!

Thankful #9

I am so very thankful for MUSIC and the ability to hear it and feel it.

Tonight we attended my coworkers vocal concert of "An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan".  A very entertaining group acted out various pieces of their work.

Thankful 8th

The guy is s'pozed to be banging his head......like mine feels.  I have had a massive headache since Wednesday.....I think it is due to the cold front that moved into our area.  It hurts even through my neck and shoulders.

Could be all the data entry I've done.....payroll week and the monthly bills are due for the office.

Could be stress, but what stress do I have???

So today I am thankful for Advil, Tylenol, Aleeve, caffiene, Vodka, heating pads, cold packs, my pillow and a warm blankie.

I'm also thankful that I'm   SuperMom because as soon as Miss T is done with Tap class today I have to take her shopping for a friend's birthday gift.......with my massive headache.

It seems to be dull now that I've overdosed it with meds.  But I'm sure that will change when I get home and deal with "home".

Can't I just crawl into my shower and fall into bed?

Prayers for Donna

Please keep Donna This and that, and hockey! in your prayers as she has lost her sister.  She fought a great battle and has earned her wings.

Thankful 7th

Today was quite cooler than the days before....we were only to a high of about 57....I hear tonight is going to be close to the freezing mark.  It doesn't get too cold here, at least not for a long period of time.  We have spells of it.  But on a sunny day, the mid 40's are pretty decent as long as the wind isn't blowing.

So tonight I am thankful for warm food, a warm house, my warm clothes, my bed, coffee that is brewing before I get out of bed in the mornings (or else Miss T would be nasty), fall collards and for my warm car.

Fall collards you ask?  YES....once the first frost or two has nipped them, mmmmmmmmmmmmm that is some good eatin.

It's actually the only GREEN leaf I will eat beyond lettuce.  I don't eat turnips, brussel sprouts or mustard or cabbage plain....rarely do I eat spinich, unless it's on a pizza or rolled up with bread crumbs and cheese.  The family cooks always tried to get me to eat the others, but LISTEN UP PEOPLE I DON'T LIKE THEM OK????!!!!!!

Now Miss T....that's another story.  She LOVES turnips and collards.  Don't think she's much on mustard greens or cabbage.

That is why I'm thankful that I was raised in the COUNTRY!!!  None of this city-fied eatin for me.  Cans of this and bags of that.  Mr Man thinks veggies come in a bag, frozen.....er, how'd ya think they got there dude?

Don't get me wrong, I have and still do open cans and dump them in a pot.  But the very bestestinthewholewideworld is fresh speckled butterbeans or field peas or sweet corn or tomatoes or potatoes or cucumbers or watermelon......right out of the garden.

Wonder if I can talk Nanny into fryin up some chicken this weekend and breaking out some veggies for me.

Boy oh boy would I have something ELSE to be thankful for!

Ocean Isle fire report

I was waiting to see if they were able to determine an exact reason but nothing has come out yet and this was the latest news from Monday:

SBI Fire Report Released
Updated: Nov 5, 2007 11:17 AM EST

OCEAN ISLE BEACH -- Agents from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) have concluded their preliminary investigation of the fire scene on Scotland Street, in Ocean Isle Beach, NC that claimed seven lives.

Based on the fire scene examination, photographic and video evidence as well as all available witness statements, agents have confirmed that the area of origin was on the back deck of the residence.

Due to the extensive damage in that area, the exact cause of the fire is undetermined.

However, based on the investigation, agents could not rule out improperly discarded smoking materials as a possible cause of the fire.

To date, there have been no reports of any other sources of ignition within that area that could have served as a possible ignition source of the fire.

Additionally, there has been absolutely no evidence to indicate that the fire was intentionally set.

Agents point out that this remains an ongoing and active investigation.  Agents are still focusing on several issues such as the rate of the fire spread and other contributing factors to the deaths of the students.  Due to the complex nature of these issues, the final investigative report may not be completed for several weeks.

There will be a memorial service at Ocean Isle Beach Chapel on Sunday for the seven students. The service will begin at 9:30 a.m.

You Knew It Wouldn't Last.....

Tom that is........dropped Miss T off for dance, said he was going window shopping; then going by the restaurant to pick up last weeks pay for his 12 hrs.

I said "ah, and we know what THAT always leads to...."

and of course HE said "no, no it won't".

Picked up Miss T, ran through Toys R Us, then she wanted Taco Bell and then I decided to ringie ding ding his cell phone.

Straight to voice mail.

Me says to self "Self, lets be sure to look over at the restaurant on the way home" and self agreed.

Sure enough, he's still there (8:30pm).

Been drinking.

Irritates wife of course.

Told him this had to stop (again).

Wished for a cop.

He drove off and Miss T says "Mom, what are you going to do?"

I asked "About what?"

"Him" she says......and of course I asked her what she meant.

"You know like Divorce".

I said "OK"

She said "can we wait till after Christmas so we can go to Florida?"

Once home I told him of her request.  He said he wanted to hear it from her....so she tells him.  He agreed to her that he would leave if that's what she wanted.

Then he turned to me and said "and I'm taking ALL my money with me."

FINE, whatever, there is no reasoning with a drunk.

So he's off, to bed, mumbling about how he'll take this and that and she'll take this and I'll get 50% of the house.......when he said that I said "oh and I'll get 50% of the truck too"............(I've left the voice recorder on in the room...hehehehhe)

Didn't Forrest Gump's Momma have a saying?????

Stupid is as stupid does?

6th Thankful Election Day

I am thankful that as an American I have the right to vote.  I have the right to chose my leader (or at least try to chose the leader of my choice).

I know it's not a Presidential Election day but for some of us there are small local elections going on.  In my town they want to incorporate - or not - we'll see what the outcome is today.

Miss T's school started 2 hrs late because of this.  Guess they figured on a heavy turn out.

Mr Man actually took himself out to breakfast this morning...his favorite feast of overeasy eggs, sausage, home fries and white toast.  I must say he's lost quite a bit of weight and is looking decent again.  But I have been fussing that he needs to eat more healthy foods rather than a hit or miss starvation diet.

Now if only I could begin to drop those pounds..............

I'd have to give up my one Sundrop per day- my favorite soda in the whole wide world.  Sigh....I could do that.

I take my coffee black - harmless.

Give up chocolate???

Bite your tongue!  NEVER!!!

Give up white foods....bread, pasta, corn.  Hmmmm.

Walk?  Yes, I need to do that.

I could just say that I'm thankful I'm "chunky" cause it means I have plenty to eat!

Not a good excuse.

Thankful 5th

http://www.tropicalglen.com/index.html

This is a neat online jukebox site courtesy of Bethe.

Here it is already the 5th of November.....I can hardly believe that 2007 is so close to being on the way out.  AOL weather is telling me that it is 67 degrees out at 2pm.  I am so dreading Winter....I DON'T like cold weather.

It has been a weird year in my world....nothing to put a finger on, but just weird.  Ups and downs with Mr Man, stepDad's surgeries, Roomie-drama, Miss T changing right before my eyes.

She turns 11 this month.....ELEVEN!  As we were cleaning her room yesterday, we were able to get rid of most of her baby dolls and their clothing etc.  WOW.  She only insisted on keeping Baby Annabelle and Baby Born along with 2 boy dolls she named Mickey Blue Eyes and Eelco (that's El-ko), plus the Build-A-Bear items.

And the Bratz and Big Baby Brats..........

And stuffed animals.............

And in our cleaning we actually found some of last year's stocking candy and gum.

HELLO!  Dear Santa:  Do not leave candy this year!

I still have not found the CD from last year - a Ciara CD.  Grrrrrrrr...

Our fruits of cleaning out her stuff will be in the yard sale money that my SIL makes this coming Saturday for us.   I hate to put on a yard sale, so I'm more than happy to clean out and hand over to her these things.  I have already taken over baby doll strollers, hi chairs etc.

Speaking of Miss T, I am so thankful for my daughter.  She is the light of my life.  I totally believe that her coming into my life was what saved me from myself.  I was so lost, aimless, no direction whatsoever.  God certainly knew what He was doing.

She has been dancing since she was 18 months old.   This year begins her 10th year.......ten years of toe tapping; ten years of costumes; 5 years of competing.  I am hoping to do a color collage for the recital program book to commemorate these 10 years.

Now to start digging through the photos..........

Maybe I'll wait till after the New Year to begin that one.

I've still gotta clean up from the cleaning out I did this weekend.  It seems we made a bigger mess once we got into it!

Arrrgh Thankful 4th got ATE!!

AOL was having a late night snack!

My 4th thankful was about how I loved baked ziti and was thankful to have it for dinner tonight.

And also how thankful I am for my home and all that is in it....even though I've spent most of this weekend cleaning and tossing things for a yard sale.

Sigh.........must be the change in the time.

Thankful 3rd

I am thankful that today's weather was perfect!  Also that I have the dreaded laundry to do, because without it I wouldn't have any clothes.  I am also thankful that roomie is out tonight on a date and will be tomorrow as well....maybe I can continue to get things accomplished in this mess of a house.

We drove to Wrightsville Beach to look for our shells before going to Miss T's solo practice.  Didn't find many there...I'd bet there would have been more and better ones washed up at Mom's beach house on Topsail.

The day was beautiful and the wind was calm.  I was amazed at the amount of errosion AND the difference in what people were wearing.  There were some sunbather's in bikini's and others were bundled up.  It was 65-67 out so anything goes I guess.

We parked about 10 blocks south of the pier and walked to the pier....Tom drove up to get us.  One of the pics you see Tom waving at us to "let's go" from the entrance of Mercer's pier.  Hurricane Fran damaged the original pier and this is the new improved one.  I love how the sun was glistening on the water.

The surfers were everywhere and the waves were nice.  Sometimes the wind caught the edge of the wave and the water would spray up nicely.  I wasn't the only one out with my camera.

I love the beach..................sigh.

Thanksgiving 2

Today I am thankful for having the day off!!

I'm also thankful for my family.  We're having another baby in the family come late May or early June compliments of my bigger little brother and his wife.  This will be their 2nd and we hope and pray that she carries this one to term.

She had 2 miscarriages before my nephew, so SIL is a bit nervous and will be for the next oh 4 - 6 weeks.  The doc says all looks great.

How exciting!

I spent my day on laundry......the dreaded ironing.  I also made a homemade chicken pot pie AND a pot of chili.  Tom's request.  He and Miss T had pizza for dinner.....roomie and I had the chicken.

It has been very windy here all day due to Noel.  No rain, I'm sad to say....we need the rain!  The temps are cooling off, but I can hardly tell it during the day.....I'm still running the A/C.  Tom thinks I'm nuts for it, but what can I say?

Must be my wacko hormones.  Esp since AOL is telling me it's 59 outside right now (10:30pm).

Roomie rode over to Topsail this afternoon and called "get over here".....she said the waves were cresting as far as the horizon and were spraying up some 20 feet as they crashed on the shore.

I didn't take the time to go over and I'm sure I missed some great photo ops......maybe tomorrow I'll go shell hunting.  To be sure the storm tossed up some beautiful seashells.  Who knows, maybe I'll find something spectacular.

Nite all!
