I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing...

I was reading Lisa's blog Damaged Goods Three (private)today about the teenagers who committed suicide....

Because of online bullies.  Because of "fear" of reaching out to someone.  Because their "peers" started so called "rumors" about them.

What horrible heartbreak the parents and other family members must be feeling.

Looking around the funeral home, we always see a room full of people that "loved" the deceased.

Where were these loved ones?  Why did these children feel so isolated from their own family and friends?

The old song "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony" came to mind.

Why can't we all live in perfect harmony?

Do unto others as you would have them do to you?  If we'd all live by that one golden rule WOW what a difference!!

I've always told Miss T that she can come to me with ANYTHING no matter what it is or how embarrassing or silly.

I'm the type of Mom that would jump in feet first where these bullies are and kick some bully butt.  I'm also the type of Mom to push and pull until I find out what's going on.

Wanna meet me in the parking lot?  Don't think so.

Go over to LJ's site and read today's entry.  Go home and love your children and tell them that they can always count on you no matter what!  I know I will.

I was never a bullie and I did not stand for it growing up.
I'd fight them sometimes winning and alot of the time losing , but the beating i gave was alot less than I recieved, as kids we took care of that stuff in and out of school.
Todays socieity sucks on school policies and life in general babing the kids to much, to much pills and to much therapy, never guns in school always with the fist and nobody narced on one another.

Life is too short to allow bullies to take over.  Their negativity can be overwhelming.  Love is the key to happiness and I'm glad you keep telling your daughter that your there for her no matter what.  Have a good Friday.

The world would be such a better place if we all could sing that song daily as well as living by the golden rule.  Unfortunately negative people exist and thrive off of emotions of a lot of us.  I wish that people wouldn't allow themselves to be brought down by someone else and end up commititing the ultimate hamr that one could ever do to oneself.  Hope you have a happy Friday.

Yes, bullies are terrible...and should be dealt with in the way they treat others...

It's one thing to pick on someone in person, face to face, but online, these internet bullies, are really scary. It's a scary place for these kids. God bless them.

Tragic...the story of those kids!  It happens every day, in every town...the families are left to pick up the pieces of whats left.

the fakeness and bitchiness of some online females is something to behold......i wonder if these J Landers also bullied others in school? I wonder what is in their body in place of their hearts? You gotta pity those kind of creeps.
Suicide sure is a wake up call and makes you realize how precious little time any of us really have on earth. At least for me, i am going to use what time i have left loving those who love me and trying to be kind.

Love you...i hope YOU have a wonderful weekend!
