Dog Days....

 

They're here.....the Dog Day's Of Summer.

       It's friggin hot!  Heat index to climb to 110!!  Even the pool doesn't look inviting it's so hot.

Last Thursday they began replacing the air unit at the office.  THANK GOD!

But....it was too late....I caught a cold.  Guess it was due to the heat and the fans running, stirring up the dust etc.

So I've been miserable ever since Wed evening...sore throat, snotz, coughing.  Heavily medicating, sleeping a lot.  Made some candy seashells for my bestestfriendinthewholewideworld daughter's wedding cake on Friday.

I did manage to make it to church on Sunday.  Miss T was receiving her Baptism certificate and Bible, but I was 5 minutes late and it was over with before I got there!!!

Had a baby shower to attend also that day.  It was actually fun.  But I was miserable with my head all stuffy.  Back home and back to bed.

I stayed home from work on Monday.  Needed the break....guess I'm spreading myself too thin, plus all the stress surrounding me is bound to be wearing me down. 

Still need to make a few more candy seashells for this weekend's main event. 

The wedding is Saturday.  A couple of us are picking up the cake to take it over to the reception hall and set it up.  Since I have the candy seashells (white chocolate) I get elected to "help" decorate. 

I'm so proud of the bride and groom.  They have both worked real hard to graduate local colleges and now go on to higher educations.  They have both been accepted at a great college....hewants to be a Doc, she is going to be a Physician's Assistant...at least, that's the plans for now.  They have a 3.5 yr old lil girl.

They are also paying for most of this shindig their selves.  Whew!  That's a lot!

Speaking of nuptials....I haven't heard from the July Bride and Groom but once.  Seems all is well.  No news is good news I'll say.
