This is for any late comers who still want to get in on the Postcard Tour!
It's here.....the weekend is winding down. Another Paradise come to a halt. Friday was particularly rough for me.....crazy coworker; lunatic husband can't figure out what to have for dinner (home all day, not important to him) so we end up in a tiff about that. He ordered Pizza while I was out finishing some birthday shopping for my Mom. I just don't get it, why he gets so bent outta shape over dinner......ugh!
Saturday morning Miss T and I get up and head over to my Mom's house. They came back from Myrtle Beach Friday night. I had bought her a pair of pajama's while we were there and Miss T bought some cupcakes and sang to her last weekend. Mom said she needed some gold hoop earrings (I got her 2 pair) and something funny so I bought "Garfield" and Ron White's "You Can't Fix Stupid" DVD's plus I bought me the "Decade of Laughs" CD by Bill Engvall and took it over to her house and ripped it into her computer. Trust me....do NOT listen to this CD while driving......I was in tears on my way home with it Friday...almost could not see where I was going and my back was hurting so bad from laughing!
Then Miss T was off to a friend's house for an overnighter......the friend I've written about before "M" whose Dad seems to like to pawn her off on me when it's his turn to have her. M's Mom has a pool and a couple of girls were coming over to chill and have a pizza/pool/moviesathome/popcorn kinda day. (Tom promised me a dip in the pool later tonight!)
I went by the bake shop and bought my Mom a fudge layer cake and I got 2 pastry's for myself........and I need to lose weight HELLO!!!!!!! I dropped the cake off at my Nanny's and called Mom saying "there it is come get it" basically. Went home to work in the house, you know, the dreaded laundry. I unpacked 2 - yes 2 - suitcases that had been laying around with miscellaneous stuff in them from our last 2 trips out and about. BAD ME! Then I worked on the living room while Mr Man spent 2 hours cleaning his bathroom from top to bottom, corner to corner! It is impressive!
I hate to sweat and by now I've worked up one so I was off to the shower.....we decided since we were childless to go out. I picked a restaurant that Tom had not been to yet "Bonefish". He loved it. He had the Grouper and I had the Duet, steak & shrimp. It began to rain and it was too early to head to my favorite spot downtown so I called up my friend Teresa and she said "come on over". We picked up some beer and spent the evening there. Man it was hot! Sweat pouring down my back and I hate to sweat!
Once home I strip down and .................hit the pool! Ahhhhhhhhh....heavenly.
Where was Tom?
When he got home he hit the bed..........................
Mind you he had a good amount of Absolute Vodka all night so he was gonna be useless to me anyway!
Why do I even bother?????????????????
OK STOP CALLING THE PECKER INSPECTORS!!!! We don't really shake the eggs outta the chickens. We have been known to grab em by the neck and give a crank, pluck em, clean em and fry em up!
Ahhhhhhhh.......Today was the 28th....the day that I was warned would be bad. Coworker sent me out with a wrong address (good thing I am smarter than I look) and it wasn't the first time this week. I swear she cannot hear or either her ADHD is in full force! Boss man gave her the address of 4900 and she told me 509 DUH! Way far off. And she sent me to 3rd Street ( I knew better because 3rd is courthouse, thalian hall, banks, city offices) when I was to be going to 2nd Street. Geeesh....I say thank you for paying me mileage LOL!!!! Oh the drama.....
Needless to say I headed across the parking lot to see my chiropractor. Been having neck issues and my TMJ acting up. A couple of twists and I'm good as new!
This afternoon Tom & I are butting heads about dinner. Mind you, he's home all day.....could be coming up with a meal plan, but NOooooooooooo. After a few "fine" this's and "FINE" that's I head out to pick up a movie and a CD to add to my Mom's birthday bag (tomorrow the big 6-0). Once I'm home there's pizza.......and Tara's hair all in a rat's nest! Ugh, that was about 30 minutes of combing out. (CALLLLGON)
Now it's my turn in the pool....everyone else is out and tired. AH HA! The water is bathtub warm, but there is a light breeze. I'm all alone......... I swam a couple of laps around the edges. Then I just floated.....for about 30 minutes I floated staring up at the sky.
In the distance I could see the lightening....no thunder, so I was sure that it was still far enough away. The stars were out, not as many as normal due to the light clouds. I spied a sattelite, 8 planes all heading North (where is everyone going and why??). I just remained there with my head propped up on the float, calm, noticing God's night lights when I just happened to be turned the right way to spy a shooting star! Of course I made a wish.
I remember being young and wondering, when stars fall, where do they land?
I received Lisa Jo's postcard today from the grand state of OHIO!!! Thank you Lisa! I so wish you could be here with me....we'd still be in the pool forgetting all our troubles!!! I received 3 cards yesterday. One from Seattle WA - love that space needle & fireworks (fireworks are my favorite-thanks Maria!); one from Savannah GA ( woo hoo way to go Dondie) and one from Barb in Lubbock Texas! saying "Howdy". Love em all! I am sooooo having fun with this one. I must admit there is one on the way to me that has me worried.... my dear friend JG is liable to pull something out of his sleeve to make me laugh! Now one from Hadon........that would be ideal (hint hint). It would have to be wrapped in plain brown wrapping though I'm sure LOL!!!
Tomorrow I am child free.............what kind of trouble should I get into????
Hi guys!!!
If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in Robin-Days of our Lives comment section. Have fun!
LET'S PLAY!!!
1. Do you think McDonald's has the best french fries or Buger King? Have to choose between these two only.
MCDONALD'S!!! They are number 1!
2. If you could change the month right now what month would you make it and why?
I would make it April. It means the Winter Madness is over (winds, cold nights) and the world will begin to green up again!
3. When you put on a pair of shoes which foot do you put the shoe on first?
My right, which I've found out this year is my WRONG foot to do that with if I'm trying on sandles! My left is much smaller. But it is the proper foot for closed shoes. Gee, there's so many technicallities here.
4. What is the biggest lie your parents ever told you?
Well, collectively I don't recall any. The worst my alky Dad ever said was "I'll be there" and never showed up more than once.
5. Do you keep your eggs in the carton they come in or in the special egg spot on the refrigerator door?
This is a long process for us to get them in a carton...but, we have chickens, so ours are fresh. Once we shake the chicken and the egg falls into the hay, we gather them up in a bucket. They get washed off (you can imagine) and then sit in a basket. If I go to Nanny's to get some eggs, she usually has some in a carton ready to go. It would be an added chore to get them in a fancy egg tray so they remain in the carton or basket, however they come.
Lemme say I should have stayed home in bed.....
Last night DH had a couple of drinks, so as that is what it is, he's being a bit irrational. Wants to go to the grocery store and then to his friend's house at 9:30pm (thunderstorm - pouring rain). When I say "no way, you're kidding me" he becomes defensive. Duh this is the man with a pending DUI charge HELLO!!! Well, he's upset because his friend is giving him the run around about getting together, and he wants to go to his house to sort things out (the guy won't answer his cell phone). Needless to say Tom did not go, but went to bed and pouted. Joy joy!
So this morning I'm off to work. At the j.o.b. it is caotic to say the least......dirt washing into the streets at our townhouse site; plans need copying; fireplace people aren't doing their job; closings coming up.....geesh. I felt like I wanted to cancel Wednesday all together and go home and sleep till Thursday.
A good friend IM's me to go to lunch with her. She tells me it is Mercury causing this mess...and that the 28th is gonna be even worse! Then one more week till all normals out again. So I've changed my mind....I'm going home and not waking up till NEXT Thursday!
At lunch my friend & I are discussing this. The topic of sex (or lack of) comes up. Here's the discussion:
H: I think for my next relationship I'll become a lesbian.
me: That's not a bad idea
H: No, my sister & her hubby are Bi, and it works for them.
me: my friend in Vegas always said she'd rather live with a woman rather than a man any day...now she does.
H: they ususally seem to be happier that way LOL.
H: I can understand that
me: Hell, even BOB isn't fun anymore...I keep saying "are you done yet?".
H: (laughing) That's bad when you talk to your vibrator especially like that!
Now I'm almost in tears......when the young stud waiter comes over to see if we need anything.....
*************************
I'm going thru a settlement statement from an attorney and I call to ask "where did you get your figure to pro-rate the taxes from".......she says "your letter"! Well, finally someone is paying attention to my notes even if it isn't ME! Trust me, the blonde hair is fake...I'm a natural brunette...but today the whole world is in a funk and can't get out!
(Boss man just tossed me a T-shirt from his trip to Jackson Hole) OK so the day wasn't all bad!
SHARON: Looking for the Island of Calgon
Holly: It sank with Atlantis............
Grrrrrrrr...................
y'all out there in J-land. I'm touring the USA via post cards and I gotta tell ya...this is fun! I have been so excited every since I received the first card.....can hardly wait to see what Mrs Postlady brings me next. My hubby & kid must think I'm nutz because everytime we stop I'm heading to the postcard rack to see what is good.
We were in Myrtle Beach ( http://www.myrtlebeach.com/) for the weekend and I only grabbed 2...didn't want to look like a tourist. We're there so much (only 1.5 hrs away) that it is like a 2nd home to us.
http://www.azaleagardentour.org/
The city that I work in (Wilmington) is known for it's Azalea Festival (http://www.ncazaleafestival.org/). I picked out a cute post card of Azaleas. There is a parade each year, several days of a circus, concerts, street vendors and a celebrity Queen! Here are Azalea Belles.
We are home to the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship. My Dad helped to wire the electricity to it in 1965. It resides in the Cape Fear River.
This is the Cape Fear and that is my "Daddy's Bridge" ... I named it that because when it was being built my Dad was one of the electrician's on the job.
Then the other Island that I frequent is Wrightsville Beach. Over-rated, this place and high in prices. It used to be quaint when I was a weee girl, but there has been so much built and parking is slim to none unless you arrive early to sunbathe. Eating an evening meal here is good, you are usually guaranteed fresh seafood (as opposed to unfresh???) .... love those signs "Fresh Shrimp", "Fresh Flounder" ....like I'd buy or eat "Spoiled Shrimp" or "Old Flounder". Oddly enough, I don't eat fish. Only shellfish like shrimp, crab or clams and that is IT!!
Then there is Carolina Beach or Pleasure Island to the South of Wilmington. This sleepy fishing town is quickly catching up to Wrightsville.....they have their first megga chain hotel now.
Now MY neck of the woods consists of Topsail Island.....it is very quiet and not tooooo commercial. Here's a ditty from http://www.topsailisland.com/
opsail Island is a 26-mile long barrier island off the coast of North Carolina. It comprises three communities: North Topsail Beach, Surf City and Topsail Beach. Topsail Island is a well kept secret with its pristine beaches and "real beach" atmosphere. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of busy beaches, then Topsail Island is the place for you. The Topsail area extends to the mainland with two additional communities: Sneads Ferry and Holly Ridge. Topsail Island has a fantastic heritage with tales of pirate ships during the 1700's and experimental rocket launchings during World War II. Legend has it that Blackbeard's treasure is still buried somewhere around here.
Hope you enjoyed a little visit to my side of the great USA!!!!!!
Hi guys!!!
If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in Robin's ( Robin-Days of our Lives )comment section. On the following Friday she has a new set of questions! Have fun!
LET'S PLAY!!!
1. Does anyone really care if Oprah is gay or not???
Not really, what she does in private is not our business.
2. What is your favorite old time game show on tv?
I like the OLD Price Is Right and OLD Family Feud. There clothes and hair crack me up!
3. I had waffles for breakfast and I was wondering what do other people put on their waffle?
Syrup usually, but I do like strawberries or blueberries. and whipped cream.
4. Who do you think would make a good President of the United States? Hillary, she's got ballz! Or Gov Ahhhhnold that would be too funny.
5. If you could do anything this weekend what would it be?
If I could do anything this weekend I would like to order a magic fairy to do all my housework so that I could chill by the pool or shop with a limitless credit card that someone else is paying for LOL....however I'm going to Myrtle Beach to chill and shop with my own money =(
Have a good weekend!!!!!
It's a special July 20th. Today is Angela's Birthday....Canyonsun04 Not only is it her special day and she deserves all the gifts, but I got one too! Well, not a gift, I paid for it, but it came from HER and arrived for ME on HER birthday WOOOO HOOO!!! www.canyonsunskincare.com
This stuff is da bomb! Silky, smooth, non greasy, smellin nice! You've gotta try some! You can pick your own scent too!
Let me say a big THANK YOU to everyone who commented about my eye. I've recently had an eye exam (June) and I'm sure it's only migraine related. It's much better now, and I do pay attention not to stare towards the bright outside....eye doc has me wearing sunglasses all the time outside because of the freckle. As for the pool, Mr Man has it up and running now, but our chlorinator has to be sent back to the manufacturer. In the meantime we have to add the chlorine ourselves. Geeesh.........
We have been able to enjoy it most afternoons. Afternoons is when it is cool enough to get in and enjoy and you all know what I mean by that one! Here I am pretending like I'm gonna dunk Miss T!
Also, thank you to the ones out there that are participating in the Post Cards Across America Tour!!!! I've received many (I'll take a pic on Friday to display) and hope y'all are too. If you still need to get in on the game and you want a card from NC, email me with your addy. Robin-Days of our Lives is who started this mess, I just picked up on it and carried it a bit further.
My coworker sent me an email this morning hoping I was feeling better and stating that from now on I have to give 2 weeks notice before I die. (It's what I emailed her saying I was going back to bed to die) She's a good soul, flakey, but OK.
Nite nite guys............
Lemme say it's hotter than than a cat with gasoline drawers! I don't know what that means........but coworker is always saying it.
Hump day heats up for me beginning around 1am....my left eye was in pain...gotta be a migraine I finally said to self about 6am! Now to find the Imitrex and I'll be good to go. Emailed coworker and said "going back to bed to die". 9am eyeball still wants to fall outta the socket. Hmmmmmm not a migraine anymore eh? OK, 4 Advil and back to bed. Then me thinks to self again "Self?".... Remember Monday when you were having trouble with that foggy vision from staring at that bright window? Is this the same eye you have that freckle on (dr said it was OK but don't let it turn into a tumor) ?
Could just be J-land-itis from reading all these entries LOL!!!! Nah, I think it was a migraine gone wacko. Hubby cooked a chicken stir fry last night and I'm pretty sure there must have been some MSG hiding somewhere. That stuff knocks me for a loop.
So Miss Tara has left the building. She had an Acro class at 6pm then it was off to a friends home for the night....I'll pick her up tomorrow for her technique class. This is the same friend whose Dad calls me whenever he has her and he wants a "babysitter". I told the Mom that I've been ignoring her X's calls lately for that reason. She says she just wishes he'd give up and go away! He is a control freak and is so trying to prove she's an unfit Mom. Duh, what will he do with a 9 year old 365?? Sure ain't gonna pawn her off on me.
I think I've been missing the point with this kid though. When she called me Monday, she said "I haven't seen Tara in sooooooo long and I miss her"....guess I've been forgetting that part all these times that I've been dissing the Dad. I just want him to take responsibility for her and his time with her. If he knows she'll be with him this weekend then DON'T make other plans and say OH WELL, Sharon will keep her. Don't get me wrong, he's not a deadbeat....owns his own business and pays his CS. And I don't mind if he's working late or on a Saturday to have his kid, but..........make your plans to be with your child! (Plus I don't always want to be bothered by having another child around - especially when I have to pull teeth to get this one to behave or clean up)
Yeah, OK, in a perfect world, I know
My kid is well mannered and rule oriented. She knows better. I don't just say this because she's mine. It's her genetics plus people tell me that she is very good. I tell them they have to be brutally honest with me. If my kid is a brat TELL ME! But I know she's not, she's just not made up that way.
We did have some drama today.....I had told her she had to straighten out her room. Boy was she hating it that I was home today. I reminded her of it constantly. She griped a little, but she did make her bed and rake out a pathway for me to get to her closet LOL!! She also wanted me to write her a check....................HELLO! for what??? She said it was for special occassions. I said "like buying Chase a birthday present this week?". She said yes, but it was probably to go along with me writing her a check. So I made HER write out the check. I gave her one of mine, said "look at it good" and tell me what goes where.
She wanted $50............she called her Grandma.
Grandma agreed to split it with me, she'll give her $25 and I'll give her $25. Afterall, we are going to Myrtle Beach this weekend and it WAS Grandma's idea that Miss T go to Build-A-Bear. So it's all too fair that G-ma pay, right? RIGHT! Now Miss Priss has a check in her wallet for $25. Told her now she'd have to go to the bank to get the money. This should be an experience for her!
The pool boy is having a time. We bought a chlorinator with this pool. It makes chlorine from salt that is added to the water. Well, it doesn't seem to be working. So he's calling and calling to find out whatzzup. Yes, he's cleaned it according to the instructions. Yes, he's tested the water. What? They want a copy of a water test done by a pool company. Jesus Louisus....He ran by a place today on the way to T's class...all levels are great, but the chlorine level (duh). He's outside now, adding shock, muriatic acid and topping off the water. OH yeah, it's just another day in paradise.
thank you Chris!!

The Best Way To Pray
A priest, a minister and a guru sat discussing the best positions for prayer, while a telephone repairman worked nearby. "Kneeling is definitely the best way to pray," the priest said. "No," said the minister. "I get the best results standing with my hands outstretched to Heaven." "You're both wrong," the guru said. "The most effective prayer position is lying down on the floor." The repairman could contain himself no longer. "Hey, fellas," he interrupted. "The best prayin' I ever did was when I was hangin' upside down from a telephone pole"
.......see? We've all had a few "telephone poles" come across our lives. I will say a prayer while sitting at my desk, driving, before I go to sleep at night. I believe that God hears us no matter where we are in our lives.
You all know that Miss T suffers panic attacks. One night she came to my bed and I got her to lay down, she was still wiggly and shakey. I began to pray for my baby's troubles....in a matter of what seemed seconds, she was sound asleep.
Hmmmm me thinks God heard me.
Do you think that the rule of "no prayer in school" stopped the children or teachers at Columbine or any other school that has come under some sort of turmoil? I doubt it. I would certainly be breaking that rule. If my butt survived, I'd take detention anytime!
OK I'm up to my eyes here. I told Miss T that the only way that Katie D' Kat could stay was if she would take responsibility for her cleaning and feeding etc. Well, the first week was OK, 2nd not so bad, 3rd eeehhhh. NOW this morning I go into the laundry room (where else would I be?) and what do you think I find?
The KAT had pissed OUTSIDE of her box and it was running across the floor ................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So when I said to Miss T "when's the last time you cleaned the box?" she says "I forgot". I WANT THIS CAT GONE! She Ralph's on my carpet, and Tara just doesn't seem interested in keeping up with her. Who do you think cleans up this mess....well, Tom does if I'm at work, but the piss, oh yeah, it was ME! My coworker wanted her, but then T decided, with tears, that she didn't want to get rid of her, promising to take care of Katie (we've had her for 3 years). Yeah, yeah, yeah. I should have just given her to someone.
Maybe when "kitty season" is done, I'll take her to PetsMart so someone can adopt her.
CAT!
Just sitting at bigger lil brother's home while he and wifey go out to eat and see a movie for his birthday which is on the 21st. Since his son's first birthday party is next weekend his birthday gets a little put off. HAHA. Nephew is asleep, has been since before I got here. I wish he were awake so that we could play and I could hear him say things like "car, bottle, diaper, bye bye, bubble" he's so funny. He came by the pool Friday with my Mom and they dipped for about an hour. But he had to go home before I got there.
When I got home (4:30pm) on Friday, my Mom was in the pool (she had come back) with Tara. I got in and was there for 2 hours. Tom fixed me a huge 32 oz strawberry dak and I was sipping hard on this. He grilled steaks and invited my Nanny up to eat. Once I was inside I got super chilled, then so sick to my head and tummy. Don't know why.....was it too much rum too fast? or was it the hot to fast cold?? Whatever it was knocked me off my butt and into bed real quick. In the middle of dinner I went to take a shower and get out of my wet clothes. Then back to finish dinner. Afterwards I colored with Tara but by 9:30pm I had had enough. I do remember Tom coming to bed at 12:20am, then I was wide awake at 1:30 until 2:30...hot then cold then hot again. Geeesh I hate nights like that. Very restless.
So today, Saturday, I've been doing the dreaded laundry and going thru last year's Nutcracker stuff, getting rid of the old. I mailed out the post cards to last year's participants. Need to post some of the flyers I have and contact some of the other Mom's to pick up their copies. So I am in charge of the parent's packages of information which includes the contract to participate and costume agreement and other miscellaneous information. The production is fun...we do 2 shows one Saturday and one Sunday the weekend after Thanksgiving, but the weekends before this are so full...practice, practice, practice.
Watching COPS.....are people really that dumb? Yeah, I guess I have seen a few like these. Sad, no ambition, no want to do better, just steal and go to jail for stupid stuff like loitering. Geeeesh. I'm hungry...signing out good buddies....have a grand weekend!
SHARON
Here we go..............TGIF!!!
I've been quite busy. Nutcracker preliminaries are here, we've had 2 meetings. I've made the flyers to post for the upcoming auditions for August 19th. Plus I already have the post cards from last year to send out with this date on it. Not a lot of people have been committing to take over any of our "positions" for this production this year. Our stage manager is becoming our publicity manager for the time being. We shouldn't have a need for any re-designs on costumes (YAY). We need some hands....why is it that people want a nice, well produced show, yet so many are unwilling to jump in? 4 people can't do it all! I hate to think that this is not going to be as successful as we need it to be. Afterall, it is the last year that our company will be doing it. (sigh...secret yay)
Going out to our very own buggieboo1 "SHARON". 29 again!! WOOO HOOO! Party your pant off girlfriend! If you haven't already put in your birthdate, check out the link on my side bar and sign up dammit!!!
Now for the fun.......start up your engines and run out to your mailbox....the official NC Post Cards are in the hands of Unc and should be arriving to your homesite soon! If you haven't already sent me an email with your address (and I promise I won't stalk you - unless you want me to hehehe) and you want one of these for our photo tour across America gimme a shout! Missie, I received yours yesterday! YAY!!
Not much planned for this weekend. I really REALLY need to accomplish some inside house work...but, there is this pool in my backyard...hmmm. Now where do you think I will concentrate??? Plus I need to really REALLY work on some better eating habits. That 4 letter word DIET ..... rather "change my diet". Need to do the protein thing, less sugars...yeah yeah here I go again. I'm gonna make myself a poster!
Until next time..............
OK.....It took a lot of courage to pose for this LOL!!!!
So here we are at the peak of another week. What are we going to do for the weekend? Anyone got anything special coming up? I'm to report for babysitting duties for my Nephew Saturday night so my SIL can take bigger lil brother out for a surprise birthday (7-21) dinner. Nephew is having his big #1 party on 7-22.
Today is trickeytricky's birthday HAPPY DAY Amanda. And Friday we have buggieboo1's birthday coming up ...HAPPY DAY to Sharon.
Yes, I'm winding down my birthday celebration...I know y'all be glad to hear that one. But I am waiting on one more gift. My SIL called to ask me which restaurant I'd like my gift certificate from. Guess I'll get that one Saturday when I go over to keep an eye on lil man. Oh yeah, then there's my lunch next week with the coworkers and boss when he gets back, then I guess I'll officially be done with the celebrating.
The pool is up and running well now. My little cleaning bug got a bum leg the other day, but a swift slap and he's back in working condition. Wish I could say the same for my DH. Miss T has not come out of the pool except to eat, sleep and poop. (There you go Lisa Jo - your word) Today her friend Kassie is enjoying it with her. I think the Nephew is coming over Thursday or Friday.
It's been a weird day. Rain here and there. Temps around 90 and to be hotter tomorrow plus the humidity....ugh! August is usually our hottest month in coastal NC. Summer is just beginning. We've been 85-87 lately and that's not too bad. How's your weather??

The Beatles Birthday Song plays as my cellphone ring tone, has now since last Monday. As I've said, I enjoy my birthday. Yes, it is still ongoing. Friday afternoon TnTnKassie come into town and we all see Pirates/Dead Mans Chest....cool movie. LONG movie 2.5 hours. I can hardly wait to see it again just for prosperity. Plus III is coming out next Memorial Day I hear. Depp is awesome as Jack Sparrow. He has a line in this movie that I ditto "hide the rum"!
Picked up a pizza, kissed the cook and headed home. TnTnKassie had headed out to get something from Lowes. Tom & I proceeded to work on the pool. Nanny came over and helped out a lot. It was getting dark so she held the light, plus some of the poles too. I have the pics downloaded, I'll just have to take a little time to organize myself & post them.
Saturday was my friend, Jenny's wedding to Kenny at 2pm. It must be my week for LONG events. Full Catholic Mass wedding - 1 hour 20 minutes. Tom is home waiting for the pool water. I have to pick him up and get back to the reception at 5pm. Very nice reception....lots of booze and dancing and booze and dancing.
Sunday it's more pool work...this time on filter and pump. Cindilouwho showed up and brought me a lovely silver bracelet for my happy b-day. I so miss seeing her. She brought that "man" with her...he was at least decent, must be taking his meds. We were able to get the pump/filter working, now we just let it do its thing for about 24 hours.
Ahhhh, Monday. Coworker had been shopping ...for ME!!! More birthday goodies. She bought me an AngelStar Worry stone, some funny stickie memo pads, a pillow that says "We hope our ship comes in before our dock rots" (AMEN) and a cool wrought iron clock! WOW!
THEN...........
our realtor for a townhouse development we do came in with a beautifully wrapped large box for ME. Inside was a wrought iron garden lantern from Pier One and a candle. She spoils me!
AND.........I ordered a body glove case for my cellphone, and a hands free set plus new face plate ala the boss's credit card!
Hey....it's all about ME for now. Gotta love it while I can!
Is it just me? or does anyone else have trouble adding a comment when you're gonna be the 13th one??? Hmmm??? I won't do it...I'll come back later! Call me crazy, but I just really have a problem with the #13. So if you've only received 12 comments, know that I've visited, and just cannot be #13. Guess it's an OCD thing LOL!!
Yes, it is STILL my birthday...at least in MY world (hehehehe). Wednesday I received a card and $$ from my FIL in the snail mail. Thursday was a coupon from my massage therapist and a gift of lotions from my Nanny was waiting on my kitchen table. I also received a fax at work from one of our guys on site offering to spank me 35 times (I said "bring it on!!") Tara and I did a little mall shopping after dance too. I got one of those new Volcano brownie/icing cookie things from Great American Cookie Company. Today, a friend dropped by with a card ..it was so cool. It said: "Only the good die young...(open card) ... we bitches live forever!!!!" Ohhhh ROFLMAO! Coworker is going to Myrtle Beach and is going to stop by one of my favorite shops to get my birthday gift (yay me!). So the gifts just keep coming...
This afternoon TnT & T's friend Kassie will meet me at the theater at 3:30 to see "Pirates of the Carrib II". Then I will head home to help Mr Man with the pool liner. YES, we are >< this close! I've been snapping a couple of pictures as we've moved along. Brother should bring the water Saturday. But get this........
I am due at a wedding 2pm! UGH. Don't get me wrong I love this couple, but geeez my pool.........I hate to miss either one. I know, I know, the wedding is a one time shot, the pool will last. Yeah, yeah, I get it...go to the wedding and reception. And my miss cindilouwho is coming to see me in the morn to bring me a birfffday gift ... I so miss her! She's all tangled up with this "guy" that she's moved in with and 2 hrs away now. Grrrrrrrr. (hmmmm, maybe she'll fix my hair for the wedding)
I did talk with my Faaaawther Wednesday, drunk. He knows better than to call me when he's had a few. Even on my birthday. Oh well, he's so hard to get off the phone that way. He wants to bring Miss T a 410/22 and teach her how to shoot it. Yeah, like she's gonna wanna do that, not my Miss Priss. 200% girl that one, not likely she'll take to huntin and fishin too well -- can't even get her to walk in the woods with me. But, he can try. Maybe she will listen to him. Doubt it.
OK, now I'm the theif...... Robin started it, Linda picked it up so I got to thinking. Here I am on the coast (wrightsville beach, topsail island area) of NC. Thinking to self...SELF? Why don't we offer to send out the postcards too? Self said "OK".
So, send me an with your address and I'll send you a bit of the coastal scenery! I'm not a stalker or haggler so your info is safe with me! I was just saying to another j-lander that we'd all eventually have a scenic walk across America!
TY Chris...you're A-Ok!
