So much for my WILD weekend......

saturday.gif

Miss T and I made it to her 10:30am solo practice at dance.  But not before a migraine threatened to ruin me.  Nipped it though thank GOD and Advil.

th_Billy_Joel-12_Gardens_Live-Frontal.jpg Billy Joel is coming to Raleigh on March 3rd...so, lil ol me headed down to the local ticketmaster to book "accessible" tickets since Mr Man has to have Isle seat so his right leg can extend.  (4 knee/leg surgeries)  Got some sweet tickets!

th_lightbulb.gif Then Miss T and I got a bright idea th_lightbulb.gif  .....let's hang the outside lights while Tom is gone and surprise him when he gets home tomorrow night.  Lo and behold my little scaredy cat kid CLIMBED THE LADDER and hung the lights!!!!!

 WTG MISS T!!!!!  buttonIMG.jpg

Then I wrapped the porch lights and hung 2 new apple/cranberry swags.  If I could get a decent picture I should have to share it with you.

th_lightbulb.gif Tom likes those old big lights, the C9 size bulbs.  th_lightbulb.gif

th_lightbulb.gif I like the little ones.  th_lightbulb.gif

Then we both had headaches......so much for her going to the birthday party.  Plus we were both tired.  I asked Nanny if she'd like to go out to dinner and of course she said YES.  Ruby Tuesday's....Tara loves their ribs.  We had a nice dinner, then decided to go by the "World's Largest Living Christmas Tree" .... an old Live Oak that they've been decorating in downtown Wilmington for a gazillion years.  Of course I did NOT have my camera with me.

th_iloveny.jpg  Tom has called ----- he's having a great reunion with his daughters.  It took him FOREVER to get out of NC because of the wind storms on Friday.  He drove up to Raleigh early (left about 5:30am, a 2 hr drive, for a 10:30am flight)) only to find out they cancelled his flight....then they got him on another one to Charlotte with a layover.

th_air00s.jpg When he got to Charlotte..........they cancelled that one!  Oh he was fit to be tied.  (Charlotte is a 4hr drive from us.) They put him on "stand by" for the 2:30pm plane and "confirmed" on the 4pm.  He finally arrived in Newark NJ at 7:15pm!!!  13 hours after he had left home!!!!!!!!!  He could have drove there from home in less time!  Got the rental car and drove over to Long Island.....geeeesh!  Tired and hungry.  All that for one hour and 35 minute flight.

th_iloveny.jpg  Let's hope the flight & drive home on Sunday (2:30pm from Newark HELLO! up there!!) is less eventful.  I'm glad it wasn't me...this is one of the reasons I don't wish to fly.  Always at someone else's mercy and command.  Gimme my keys and let me drive and stop when and where I please.

Love the graphics!  Ugh on the travel mess.  I got to sit in the Charlotte airport one night.  Lots of fun.  I was travelling from Baltimore to Nashville.  I just wanted to be home.  Good for y'all for getting the lights up.  I just wait for hubby.

Have fun with the Billy Joel concert, hope he stays clean and out of trouble LOL.  That travelling ordeal is more like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.  Funny movie, but then again so is Airplane.  Have a nice Sunday.

Hey, wtg witht the Christmas lights and Miss T!  LOL..my ex always loved so big old lights.  They last forever but get so hot and look ugly.  Airline flights...yuck.  It took me 13 hrs to get from Ft. Myers to Pittsburgh last August on what should have been a 3 1/2 hr. flight.  HUGS  Chris

Liking the big lights is a Italian New York thing!!LOL!  It is all I can remember from whenI was a kid (oh fyi I have two sign on names..kevinkdog34 and daniella12800, just so you know who I am :0P)  Anyway...we have the big lights also from my childhood!!LOL!

Awesome Miss T!  You won't catch me on a ladder hanging lights!LOL!

OMG New York had horrid storms predicted the day he was leaving...remember the email I responded to last week about the weather...we never got touched thank god cause another flood in this area would have been even more devistating than it already is!!!

I am soooo happy he is having a good time..I was worried because those types of reunions can be hard...they could be one extreme or another....Good or Bad!  Tom shoudl come back with a smile and taht is awesome!
