Ike the tike!

And what a big boy he was.....

The Texans are OK!  YAY!!  Got a text from them - thankful to be dry and have a generator.  They are just north of Galveston...no power.  I'm sure we'll hear more as the days go on and clean up is underway.

I just sat in awe watching this massive storm.....how deep red the interior was.  When I heard that Jim Cantore was in Galveston I said "Oh no" cause we all know he goes to where the worst is expected.

These are dangerous, yet beautiful storms....just like me to like the bad boys!  My x-coworker moved to Dallas after Christmas....bet she didn't think she was going to have to take along her Hurricane Survival Kit all the way there!

I went up to Mom's beach house to see what was on the island, yes Lanny, after a Pizza at my fave joint.  Seaweed trashed all along the coast line from Hanna.  The moon is just about full and the reflection was beautiful!  Monday is the official FULL MOON....maybe I'll slip over to mom's backyard tomorrow or Monday night...better charge up the battery and grab the tripod this time.

XRoomie's hubby has been in the hospital for 2 days...they did a cath on his heart, ballooned, roto-rooted and put in a stent.  Doesn't look real good for him.  She says she doesn't see them celebrating a 1st anniversary.  Sad.  No, she didn't know he was sick at all before saying I DO....don't think she would have gone that far if she did.

Well, I think I'll play around with some pictures tonight before I turn in.  Gotta crack the whip with Miss T....she wants to stay up all night...that makes for an ill puss extraordinaire!!

Nite nite

Glad to hear everyone is ok. I've check in with all my Texas friends too and all is well other than the no electricity thing too -- we know how miserable that can be!! But, that's why we prepare, right? Sorry to hear about x-roomie's DH :-(
Please don't tell me there's really going to be a full moon on Monday -- Full moon Mondays are always the very worst at a high school!! UGH!!
Have a great week! I'm counting down the days until we get together again in December! Martha :-)

Glad the Texans have survived but too bad Geroge Bush didn't go to Galveston and get blown away by the storm.  LOL  Sorry to hear about ex roomies husband.  Have a good Sunday.

I'm glad your friends are ok.  I had to laugh about your comment about "can't they wait until the rigs are destroyed before the pilage my pockets".  LOL  It's kinda true isn't it.  Always looking for excuses to charge more.  Hope you have a happy Sunday.  Luv ya!

I surely am no doctor but the health care field does well with lots of heart ailments, even roto routing and stents so i will pray the dude doesn't get worse and he lives a long time with his new bride.
GLAD your relatives are ok! XOXO

Quite a storm indeed.  I'm listening to wind from it right now.  It started YESTERDAY.  I'm floored that as far away as we are from Texas that Nashville is getting wind.  We are supposed to get rain tonight.
