Not worried!

At 6pm I called my Nanny and said "wanna go to Walmart?" and she said sure.  Would you believe that they were CLOSED!!  Not letting anyone in.  Sheeeesh it was only 6:30pm.

Tom said "you ALWAYS leave the house just as the storm is coming in" so he wasn't surprised when I announced I was leaving.

Target WAS open, they said they would "play it by ear".  Come on people!  There's no WIND yet and only scattered showers.

I needed conditioner for my hair.

OK so I really was just tired of being in the house and realizing I'd be cooped up in here probably most of Saturday too.  And I wanted an ice cream cone from McDon's.

Gas was $3.58 at Wally's gas station....$3.52 at Sam's yesterday.

Speaking of worry....Tom....funny.  He's all antsy and even made me put the photo albums in one of those plastic boxes with lids and get the home movies too!  Not a bad idea, since I do have that little roof leak.  If the storm causes any trouble there at least the priceless goodies are safe.

Now I'm off to fill up the tub with some water, just in case the power goes out and we need to "flush" or take a bird bath.

I doubt we'll lose any power at all.....now the satellite, that's in and out as the dark clouds hover........

Mmmmmmmm popcorn!  Miss T just brought me a bowl of fresh popcorn.  Gotta eat while the eatin's good!

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers for my NC....wet n soggy and signing out!

Nite all....

I can't believe that as the storm is coming into land, you would decide to go to walmart!  You're such a hoot!

LOL  Stupid me, was talking to Allison when I was commenting in your Journal.  I guess I can't do two things at once in my old age!

I am watching the weather channel right now....and took a look at your map in your prior entry and they have Hanna right on target there.  Keep dry and indoors.  Hopefully, she won't last long and cause too much damage.  hugs,  Bethe

I hope Hanna, Ike and the rest of them blow themselves out before the reach USA shores.  Meanwhile, I guess stocking up on all the necessities is a wise move (don't forget chocolate).  I was able to get gas here in Tacoma, WA last week for $3.60 a gallon.  And it's down a few more cents now. Stay safe...Linda in Washington state

LOL...sounds like Pittsburgh when some snowflakes fall and the big so called "blizzard" is coming.  Speaking of which, I should have kept my darned mouth shut because it's only going to be in the low 70's now.  Be safe and keep an eye on Ike.  HUGS Chris

The main office of WM closed that store, the local manager didn't. They were trying to protect their employees too.
So glad you are all safe! XO

I am glad that Hanna did not produce any damage where you live.    I wanted to say 'Hello' as I have not been contacting people very much.    Sometime I have not been on the computer for more than an hour a week.     So one by one I try to let people know that I am thinking about them.    I a slowly but surely learning how much I can tolerare with my back as the surgery repaired that part of my spine.   No longer is the bone growth pinching the spinal nerve.    I still have other problems, especially with weather changes.     Everyday I do as much work as I can on my home.     This is my last contact for today and I am headed out into mid 80 degree pleasant weather for a change.     Very little time to get too much done before winter.    Goodbye for now.     mark
