Flamingo Rain Wet n wild I guess....this one's a baby.  Just a big ball of rain.  With all the heavy rain we had last week I would not be surprised to find some large trees uprooted.  We'll be asleep when the "worst" is here, at least I hope I'm sleeping.

th_Rain.gif So what is your favorite thing to do in the rain?  When I was a young girl I used to sit on my Papa's screened in porch in a rocking chair and just listen to it.  There is something soothing about a steady rainfall.  Nowadays it puts me to sleep!  Most people say they like to read or "enjoy" their mate.

th_iqbz2s.gif In southern NC it'sth_iqbz2s.gif not uncommon for a th_iqbz2s.gif T-storm to pop th_iqbz2s.gif up in the late afternoon th_iqbz2s.gif during the summer, which th_iqbz2s.gif while I'm working seems to be th_iqbz2s.gif 5pm...just when you wanna get th_iqbz2s.gif out of the office.  God has a funny sense of humor here.  Guess He's just insuring the Insurance company will have business.  Lots of wrecks here - why is it that these people can't drive in the rain or snow?  Duh...HELLO!  Friggin slow down!

Ernesto passed by here yesterday. It was just lots of rain and some winds. You are right he is a baby. It really was no big deal. I believe it is always better to be safe then sorry. We watched movies and hung out and ate then went to sleep. The kids did not even realize that it had passed they were waiting for action like last year. We did not loose power at all and it was a normal rainy night. Stay safe and indoors. Pull out the comfort food and watch some movies. We pulled out the bedding and made a comfy setting in the family room for the entire family to just hang out. I wish we would of had a better movie but oh well. lol
Take Care,
Louise

I bet the river rafters up there are happy happy happy!  My cousin used to be a rafting guide in SC and they would have rain dances to make the river come up. lol  I love river rafting and miss it terribly.  Good luck with the storm.  Hugs and GBU, Shelly

Funny you mention watching the rain on papa's front porch.  I am reading my NC research book and it says the people in NC love to sit on the porch and watch life.  Cool.  Me too.  I can see me doing that.  With my cross stitch or crochet and a lemonade or iced tea.  Yep, Ernesto came by.  Just a bit of rain, light winds, some stormy clouds.  It wasn't too bad.  I hope that it isn't too bad for you guys up there either.  He has probably gained some strength from the ocean if he went back out there and I have lost track so I gotta watch the news sometime today.
Hugs,
Lisa

I'm scared of storms!   But I don't mind the rain too much.  Glad it's not going to be too bad.

I love storms....Like to watch, listen and even swim in them. One of my favorites was swimming during a thunderstorm at the motel when we went to Disneyland as a kid. Mom kept trying to get us out of the pool but I would have none of it. Of course now I know why but back then, it was cool. Hugs Lanny

I love a good storm as long as I don't have to be out driving in it. I even think hurricanes are exciting and I've been through a few of the worst (Andrew in Miami and Charley here in Port Charlotte last year -- or was that the year before?). Anyway, Ernie didn't even give us a good rain here in Florida. Hope Baby Ernie doesn't cause any problems over your way! Martha :-)
