September already!????

I can hardly believe it!  Where did my summer go?

I'm so disappointed in myself that I did NOT spend my summer on the beach or having any other kind of fun.  Summer '07 has been weird - not one that I'd like to do again.

Cindilouwho's wedding dramas.

Roomie's displacement.

Tommydrama.......the saga continues.

Lazy.........

Mostly meloncholy......no desire to do anything.

The pool temperature this morning is 76 degrees....we've had a couple of cool (68) evenings that helped drop it down from the 80's.  I've contemplated getting a solar cover or the solar pads for the late summertime enjoyment...we have lots of nice days even through October that I could still enjoy the pool on the weekends.

So far Miss T has enjoyed her first week of school.....I so hope that continues.

Tom has a friend visiting from NY....he was here at the house yesterday afternoon.  Mr Man and I had scheduled a "date"......ready to leave the house by 5:30pm I said......

.........but he left at 5pm to take the friend to the other friend's house and didn't come back till  almost 6pm and couldn't understand why I was a bit upset when we were leaving the house at 6:15!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....like I've always said to him, I come SECOND.  He of course says that isn't so.

But I reminded him that he's never late for anything else esp WORK.  I said "What time do you have to be at work?"

"Ten"

"What time did you get there this morning?"

"Nine-forty five"

My point exactly.

However, we did get to one of our favorite restaurants and were seated promptly.  Tom always has the Stuffed Flounder and I get the Stuffed Shrimp or Shrimp Scampi;  the appetizer here is always the Crab Dip!  Excellent stuff!  Best I've had ANYWHERE!

Saturday is overcast here.....Miss T has solo practice at 2pm.

Tom wants to invite his friends over on Sunday for a Pool Party (grrrrrr)....I say NO drinking!  I'm sure THAT won't happen.  I am planning to go to the beach house with my friend T and her son K for an overnighter.  Hope it doesn't rain.

YIKES!  It's almost 1.....gotta get outta here!

Tah all!

Yes indeed, the 'bers are here once again.  Glad that you finally got your night out, albeit a little late, but it sounds like you enjoyed your meal.  I hope you have a good Labor Day weekend.

Yep, it's been a weird summer here also.  Not quite as weird as yours but funky.  We have a solar cover, and the pool never quite hit 80.  Ugh, I hate Pa.  Hope you get your trip to the beach this weekend.  You could use a break.  Big Hugs  Chris

Hi.  I know you don't want your summer to end, but I want mine too.  LOL  It has been so hot and dry.
Hope all is going well with you.
I'm relaxing for once.  You can tell it's a holiday weekend...I suddenly have more time and can visit lots of my favorite journals.
