Thankful 10th

DRUGS..........that is what I'm thankful for today.

Today I've been hyped up on coffee and sundrop and sudafed -- the REAL sudafed, not that wanna be mess they're selling these days.

We bought Miss T the trampoline for her birthday gift.  I told her it was also part of Christmas.  Found a 13' with surround at Wally's for $194.  Tom, bless his heart, tried his best to get the springs put on the canvas...but........city boy, ya know....pulled one of the springs out about 12 inches.  No fixing that!

I noticed my bigger little brother was down in the back of the field and I gave him a call to come help.  With Tom's bad knees, he can't get up and down well.....bro got it going and in no time the canvas was stretched.

I tried to help too, but the tension was tough and with my neck and back troubles  I can't pull too hard.  But I was the first one to JUMP - and almost peed my pants.  Actually I DID have to change my pants!!

Rule #1 :  Pee before jumping on the trampoline.

Needless to say, I will be popping pain pills to ward off any achy muscles.  I will probably turn on my heating pad too.

Sorry about the shortess of yesterday's entry....it was late and Roomie and I were talking, so I just typed and hit save.

In addition to going to the concert yesterday, my Nanny had called me at 9:30am to see if I would go shopping with her.......she actually bribed me saying "I'll buy you something".

HELLO!??

Actually it was a nice outing with her.  She wanted to go to Kohl's and she used her credit card and received an extra 15% off.  So naturally I let her charge my stuff too!!!

Her 85th birthday is this coming Tuesday.  85!!

She would SHOOT me if she knew I was posting this pic of her.  As you can tell it is 2 years old....not much has changed in her appearance.  This was not an easy task talking her into going in this pool with us.....much less wearing that tankini.

ROFLMAO.

Other than helping with the trampoline a bit, I've spent most of this day in our "big room"....the room that TnT live in most of the time...him watching TV and her playing behind him.  It is a room at the end of our home that is about 12-14 ft wide and 28 ft deep.  He gets one half, she gets the other UNTIL CHRISTMAS....that's where the tree goes and her stuff has to be moved.

It was HER stuff I was rearranging.  She wants to have a sleepover party for her birthday next Friday.  Tom is going to bag up the drums and sell them....he can't (or won't) play them.  So I said sell em...makes no difference to me.

Then I moved on to wrapping gifts......Christmas gifts.  Gotta get them outta the way so I can clean up my "blue" bedroom...which is actually my junk room.

Sigh...........what a job that will be!

Sharon, just ran across your journal.  As I look down your sidebar I see names of journals I read regularly...including Lanny who just lives a few miles from me.  We were on the same Alaska cruise with he, his wife, son & his girlfriend this last August.   I got a kick out of you talking about wrapping Christmas gifts already.  I'm about to do the same.  I retired in February, so don't have to take a day off to do that task...so thought I might as well start it and maybe it will be done much sooner.  Also thinking about starting to start the Christmas cards.  I've been updating addresses so really could start that anytime.   Linda in western Washington state

that sounds like a huge room.....will you get the safety net thing for the trampoline? Be careful on it. Don't pee on it anymore or there will be stains! LOL

Wow, your grandma looks super duper great!  LOL....I can attest to the fact that one must empty the bladder before jumping on a trampoline.  We just took Megan's down.  We had it up for 9 years.  I practically needed Depends the last couple of years.  Huggies, Chris

Okay after reading this entry, I know feel sooooo behind. You're wrapping presents already. Heck, I'm lucky to wrap them a week before Christmas anyway we got to many nosey people around here ;-).
Your Nanny looks great. That's great that she took you shopping. I guess some things will never change. My daughter gets mad at me because I like Kyan buy whatever he wants when they take me shopping. She said why does he have to ask Santa for it when he has a NayNay... my point exactly ;-)~.
The tampoline sounds like great fun, but I don't have a safe place to put one at my house to many power lines. Thanks for the advice on using the bathroom BEFORE the jumping.
Take care, Chrissie
