Feeling Cool!

Ahhhh Hump Day......and I only work 1/2 days on Friday's so why should I complain????  So happy hump day to J-land and I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend.  My daughter has a dance competition Saturday evening, so I'll be up to my elbows in costumes, hair and makeup, but it'll still be fun.

Hubby decided yesterday that he didn't want to stay in Florida till next Monday.  (He always said he can't stand more than 4 or 5 days with Dad)  He arrived in Tampa Monday night, and Tuesday evening he was calling me to re-route his flight home for this FRIDAY!  Poor fellow.  American Air wanted to charge some $600 to change the flight home -- HELLO!?!?!?!  (I only paid $205 for R/T ticket)  So I said, hang on, lemme see if Southwest has a flight into Raleigh Friday and lo and behold there were 2.  $129 later he's booked!  Which that's not too bad considering the tickets to begin with on AA or Delta or USAir were near $365....I just happened on a deal for the $205.  So the way I figure it, I have spent what I would have to begin with.  Geeesh, the drahhhhhhhma.

Tom's Dad is doing OK....major surgery on a 76 yr old man has slowed him down a bit, but all in all he's doing good.  He has the home health people showing up a couple times a week still.  I'm sure he's ready to get back on the golf course.

Well I'm off to a Shrimp-a-roo at a local bank.  My Mom is a shareholder and asked if I'd like to go again this year.  It's nice to be able to hob nob with the rich and infamous.  Plus I know many of these people anyway.

Have a great night all!

You sound so upbeat and excited about hump day . . .cool!!!  Good job with the airfares.  You missed your calling, you should have been in airline reservations.  Anyhoo, have a nice remainder of the week and weekend.
